What is a Grass Roofed House
The main form of the house is the curved roof covered with earth and grass, which contributes to a wonderful indoor climate. The front has a large glass façade, which allows a lot of light into the house.

Our detached and comfortably furnished six-person holiday homes with sunny garden, large south-facing terrace and private jetty are situated in a unique location directly on the beautiful Reitdiep river. The houses are about 100 m2 and have three bedrooms. All houses have underfloor heating and one of the houses is equipped with a cosy wood-burning stove for cold evenings. There is free wifi internet and each holiday home has two private parking spaces.
From your own jetty you can sail to the Lauwersmeer, or to Groningen city. From the garden (up to 1,000 m2) you can swim, sail and fish. The Groninger countryside is great for cycling and walking. And a visit to Groningen, Dokkum or Schiermonnikoog is also worthwhile.

For the safety of all our guests, we have decided that our tenants must bring their own duvets, pillows, duvet covers, pillowcases and under sheets, towels, kitchen towels and dishcloths. We provide beds with mattress protectors which we hot wash after each rental period.We hope for your understanding for this decision. This way we can continue to enjoy the grass roofed houses.
