What is a grass-roofed house
The main form of the house is the curved roof covered with earth and grass, which contributes to a wonderful indoor climate. The front has a large glass facade, giving the house plenty of light.
Due to the insulating layer of over 30 cm of earth with plants, stone cavity walls and underfloor heating, it is also very comfortable living in winter.
Our detached and comfortably furnished six-person holiday homes with sunny garden, large south-facing terrace and private jetty are in a unique location directly on the beautiful Reitdiep river. In the middle of the province of Groningen, on the edge of the cultural landscape of Middag-Humsterland. Between the city of Groningen and the Lauwersmeer.

The houses are about 100 m2 in size and have three bedrooms. Both houses have underfloor heating and one of the houses is equipped with a cozy wood stove for those cold evenings. There is free wifi fiber optic Internet and each house has two private parking spaces.
From your own jetty you can sail to the Lauwersmeer, or to Groningen city. From the garden (up to 1,000 m2) you can swim, sail and fish. Through the Groninger country it is wonderful cycling and walking. And a visit to Groningen, Dokkum or Schiermonnikoog is also worthwhile.
